Services

Working with a coach provides:

  • a confidential space for you to reflect on professional challenges and opportunities as they emerge

  • an opportunity to explore your strengths, development areas and blind spots as a leader

  • a sounding board; someone with whom you can develop and test out new ideas and strategies, clarify your thoughts, and uncover new perspectives

  • accountability; someone to help ensure you remain on track to achieve what’s most important to you

Programmes typically start with six sessions, which allows time to establish what change the client wants to see - and how to achieve it. The services below touch on the themes and typical areas covered; however all coaching is tailored to individual needs.

    1. Face-to-Face and Online Sessions: Coaching sessions can be held face-to-face (subject to location) or virtually, providing flexibility and convenience for busy leaders.

    2. Personalised 360-Degree Feedback: Leaders receive insights from a broad range of perspectives through the Primary Colours 360-degree feedback report. This comprehensive assessment (used by leading business schools and FTSE 100s) forms a solid foundation for targeted development.

    3. Personality Profiling: Understanding leadership styles and preferences is key to unlocking leadership potential. Using Hogan Assessments helps leaders to leverage their strengths, manage their ‘derailers’, and work in alignment with their values.

    4. Presentation Review & Coaching: refining key messages and reviewing content to ensure presentations looks as good as they sounds — with coaching to help leaders deliver it with clarity and confidence.

    5. Checking-in for Momentum: Ongoing contact ensures that we maintain momentum and leaders receive timely support.

Leadership Development & Assessment

Incorporating a diagnostic tool into the coaching process can offer leaders a richer, more evidence-based view of their strengths, risk areas, and motivational drivers. Research suggests that multi-source feedback and personality assessments can improve self-awareness and accelerate development by surfacing patterns that may not be visible through reflection alone. I use the Primary Colours® 360 Feedback Report and Hogan Assessments - both grounded in robust psychological theory and validated research - which provide data that complements your own insight and experience.

Hogan Assessments

Hogan is a trusted name in the field of personality/leadership assessment, used by leading companies worldwide. The assessments can help companies and individuals across a range of areas, including:

  • Improved self-awareness: Hogan provides individuals with a clear understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, and potential derailers.

  • Better decision-making: Companies benefit from data-driven insights to make better hiring, development, and promotion decisions.

  • Increased organisational effectiveness: By aligning individual traits with organisational needs and roles.

Primary Colours® 360 Feedback Report

I use Edgecumbe’s Primary Colours® 360 Feedback Report, a research-based tool designed to provide leaders with structured, multi-rater feedback from colleagues, direct reports, and senior stakeholders. Evidence shows that feedback from multiple sources increases self-awareness and can highlight gaps between intent and impact—insights that are often missed through self-reflection alone. When integrated into a coaching programme, this data can inform more targeted, practical development plans. At an organisational level, aggregated findings can also support broader leadership development and succession planning strategies.

The questionnaire/report is based on The Primary Colours® Model of Leadership, developed over 25 years of research led by Professor David Pendleton.
